The Sweet yet Poisonous Flower

Lily of the Valley Lily of the valley  ( Convallaria majalis ), sometimes written  lily-of-the-valley , is a highly poisonous  woodland, flowering plant with sweetly scented (fragrant perennial herb), pendent, bell-shaped white flowers borne in sprays in spring. It is possibly only species of the genus  Convallaria  in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae) and the Nolinoideae subfamily . It is native throughout the cool temperate Northen Hemisphere in Asia, Europe (Eurasia), America, China and Japan. It likes a sheltered, moist habitat in either full or partial shade. Lily of the valley is cultivated in shaded garden areas in many temperate parts of the world. The plants often grow closely together, forming a dense mat, and are sometimes used as ground cover. F o x The fox is a scavenger , generally found in urban city areas in the northern Hemisphere. The fox is a nocturnal mammal , meaning that the fox only goes out a night to hunt for prey and fox is a omnivorous animal  belonging to several genera of the family Canidae.  Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Carnivora Suborder: Caniformia Family: Canidae A fox is generally smaller than other members of the dog family  like wolves, jackals,  and domestic dogs . For specific it is small-to-medium-sized. Most foxes are about the size of a large house cat. Foxes can range in height from 35 to 45 inches and weigh approximately 15 pounds. Foxes can be a pest in the cities as foxes are often seen tearing into rubbish. Fox has many similarities with cats – such as vertical slit eyes, retractable claws, flattened skull, upright triangular ears, a pointed, slightly upturned snout, and a long bushy tail (or  brush ). Foxes are excellent tree climbers
